Easy Peasy Pancake Treat

We seem to have developed a bit of a Sunday ritual over the last year or so. Our Easy Peasy Pancake Treat. We don’t have them every Sunday, maybe 1 or 2 out of the month. After all, we want them to continue being a special treat and not something we do all the time. But they are absolutely divine and simple to make.

It’s turned into a little family tradition that all three of us get involved in. I do the pancake mixture with the 3-year-old assisting with each of the ingredients and mixing. I also pan fry the pancakes before passing them over to hubby and the 3-year-old to decorate with deliciously sweet toppings.

They are super easy to make and would make a great addition to your Easter Weekend.

What you will need to make 4 large pancakes

Pancake mixture:

  • 450ml Milk
  • 150g Plain Flour
  • 3 Medium Eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon of Oil
  • Pinch of Salt

  • Honey or Maple Syrup
  • Double cream
  • Strawberry’s
  • Banana’s

Or what ever toppings your like.

How to make Easy Peasy Pancake Treats

  • Add the milk, flour, eggs, oil, and salt to a mixing jug/bowl and whisk into a smooth batter.
  • Add a drop of oil to a nonstick frying pan over a medium heat and swirl around to ensure the oil covers the base of the pan.
  • When the pan is hot, pour in your mixture to thinly cover the base of the pan or to the desired size. Cook for a minute or 2 on both sides. When golden brown they are good to go or keep them warm in a low oven while you cook the rest.
  • Add your strawberry, bananas, honey, or maple syrup and cream, or whatever toppings you prefer and enjoy while they are still warm.

Why not give it a go during the Easter break, I would love to know what you think.

One Clueless Mum

Hi, I'm Alex, welcome to my little corner of the internet. I'm here to share my journey to motherhood and beyond. You may not find structured advice from a 'Stepford housewife' style mum, but you will get honesty & realism from a regular mum just like you. From IVF, women's health & being a redhead, to pregnancy, toddlerhood & life as a work-from-home mum, I've got it all. So stay and take a look around, you never know what you might find.

I love love this post. I love pancakes so much. I make them at the slightest opportunity and I have a pancake recipe post scheduled on my blog for next week so it was lovely to see this here.
